Mohanlal Sukhadia University is Multi-Faculty affiliating university established under UGC act. The university consists of four constituent colleges and affiliated colleges in the districts of Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Banswara ,Dungarpur and Sirohi.
The erstwhile Udaipur university was established in the tribal areas of southern Rajasthan with it’s headquarter at Udaipur. This agriculture university was turned into a Multi-faculty university in 1964 named as university of Udaipur. As a mark of respect in the memory of Late Shri Mohanlal Sukhadia, the architect of modern Rajasthan, the university was renamed as Mohan Lal Sukhadia University in 1984.

Punjab Technical University (PTU) is a state owned university of Punjab Government established under the gazette notification No. I - leg/47 dated 16.1.1997. PTU affiliated 141 Engineering,. Management, Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Architecture colleges in the state. PTU is the largest Technical University of north India, where around 24000 students are on rolls. Under its Distance Education Programme it has more than 1050 study centers across the country where 1,25,000 students are upgrading their knowledge in the fields of IT, Management, Paramedical etc. All courses are as per UGC nomenclature referred to section 22(l) of UGC.
